Constituency questions – Education Funding

Mr  J. BULL (Sunbury) — (Question 1087) My question is to the Minister for Education. Monday’s education state announcement for the Sunbury electorate was fantastic news. Local schools in the electorate will receive over $2 million in extra funding from the Andrews Labor government. This comes on top of our election commitment of $3 million for a new science wing at Sunbury College and $1.1 million last month for maintenance funding for four schools in the electorate, including my former primary school, Sunbury Heights Primary School. Can the minister advise how this funding is to be allocated against the four priorities of excellence in teaching and learning, professional leadership, positive climate for learning and community engagement in learning?
