Accessibility improvements for Bulla community centre

Works on accessibility upgrades at a community centre in Bulla are complete, thanks to a $230,000 grant from the Andrews Labor Government.

Member for Sunbury Josh Bull visited the Jack McKenzie Community Centre today to celebrate the completion of upgrade works which were supported by the $100 million Growing Suburbs Fund (GSF).

Upgrades to the centre include the installation of access ramps, internal layout changes, accessible toilet facilities, and accessible car parking spaces.

The Jack McKenzie site is one of four important community centres across Hume to be upgraded through the GSF. The Gladstone Park Maternal and Child Health Centre, Buchan Street Community Centre and Campbellfield Community Centre will also be upgraded during 2017.

Hume City Council has received $9.72 million to deliver nine projects over the past two years from the GSF.

The GSF targets high priority projects that improve the amenity and liveability of communities in Victoria’s booming outer suburbs.
