GIVING GLADSTONE PARK KIDS THE SCHOOL THEY DESERVE

Students in Gladstone Park will have the modern classrooms and school facilities they need to get the great education they deserve, thanks to a major upgrade by the Andrews Labor Government.

Josh Bull, Member for Sunbury today announced Gladstone Park Primary School will get $1.5 million in the Victorian Budget 2018/19 to upgrade and modernise facilities, including refurbishing classrooms and facilities in poor condition.

The works will target facilities which need it most, ensuring that students learn in facilities that are ready for the delivery of modern education.

The Victorian School Building Authority will work with school staff to help them identify where to best direct the funding, including through a ‘Bricks & Mortar’ training course.

The Labor Government is building the Education State so every Victorian student can get a great education and every community has access to a great local school.

This includes an unprecedented $2.8 billion investment to improve classrooms, upgrade facilities, acquire school sites and build new schools across the state.

This school building boom has delivered more than 1,000 school projects and upgrades, and 64 new schools across the state, supporting more than 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.

We have now invested more than $2.8 billion to improve classrooms, upgrade facilities and build new schools across the state.

This contrasts with the Liberals and Nationals who let schools crumble and decay, while slashing $1 billion from the education budget.
