GAME CHANGING PAVILION FOR RUPERTSWOOD

The growing members of Rupertswood Cricket Club and Rupertswood Football Club will see the delivery of a new pavilion thanks to $2.5 million from the Andrews Labor Government’s 2021/22 Victorian Budget.

Member for Sunbury, Josh Bull made the announcement in Sunbury today.

Given the pavilion is on Salesian College land in Sunbury, the school has also announced a $2.5 million contribution to the project which will see a $5 million facility used by both the clubs and students in a win for the entire community.

With a growing number of players at Rupertswood Cricket Club and Rupertswood Football Club, both clubs have been struggling with an outdated pavilion and have been advocating for additional funding for some time.

The funding will transform the change rooms and deliver a better purpose-built pavilion.

Our local sporting clubs are so important to our community and the Victorian Budget is backing their future, delivering better pavilions, change rooms, grounds and courts so all Victorians can get active.

This is part of the Labor Government’s strong commitment to sports and active recreation, gender equality and encouraging all Victorians to get out there and get active.

The local Member, the clubs and Salesian College will now sit down to plan the next steps of the exciting project which will deliver a great outcome for our community.
