BOOST FOR EMERGENCY VOLUNTEERS IN SUNBURY

Victorian emergency management volunteers are getting a well-deserved funding boost thanks to the Victorian Government’s $15 million Emergency Services Volunteer Sustainability Grants program.

Hundreds of grant applications for equipment, communications, facility upgrades and community engagement and training have already been received from volunteer organisations across the state.

Josh Bull MP today announced that Sunbury SES was successful in their grant application receiving $190,600 in much needed Facilities and Equipment upgrades in this round alone.

 

This includes:
A new Colorbond shed including two truck bays.
Concreting and sealing the Units driveways.
Portable fridges for response vehicles

Portable Emergency and scene lighting.
Sandbag filling trailer
Mule II Litter – wheeled stretcher carrier.
These grants will assist emergency volunteers in Sunbury in the crucial work they do in keeping the community safe.
